Jill " Touchdown....EAGLES!!! " Turner Biography

 

Jill Turner is a transplant to the DMV area after being born and raised in Richmond VA where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979.  She attended Virginia State University for 3 years before transferring to Morgan State University where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition / Management Dietetics in 1983.  Jill worked for the DC Public School System for 10 years as a manager before transferring to PG County in 1995.  Jill worked at Scotchtown Hills Elementary School in Laurel MD from 1995 to 1999.
 
Jill began working at Frederick Douglass High School in January of 1999 as a Cafeteria Manager and became an educator under the then new Resident Teacher Program in the fall of 1999 until the present.  Jill holds a Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and is a certified food handler.
 
Jill's son attended Douglass High and he was a starting member of the varsity football team in 2001-2002 where he played linebacker along side his friend and former NFL standout Shawne Merriman.  Jill's two daughters also graduated from Douglass, classes of 2000 and 2003.
 
Jill began announcing games at Douglass in the fall of 2000 during her son's junior year to present. In addition, she also coaches girls JV volleyball and has for 8 years, girls swimming for 10 years, and JV girls softball for 14 years.
 
Jill is the co-founder / captain and coach of a Women's Flag Football team for which she has been playing for 10 years.
